Cruise Travel

Feature writing

Lisa’s study overlooks cruise ships sweeping into the Bay of Cannes, sailing past the fortress island where the Man in The Iron Mask was imprisoned. It’s as thrilling as cruising should be. But far from being compelling, cruise journalism is often bland.

Lisa’s particular interests include small ports, the secret life of a cruise ship, independent shore excursions, and personalities on board. She loves tall ships, river and barge cruises and luxury ocean liners but also dares tackle controversial issues. Lisa’s cruise-writing appears in outlets ranging from The Telegraph to Mediterranean and Caribbean cruise guides, Porthole, Cruise International and From the Bridge.
